The music roll in place is the test piece supplied with the plans.  A piece of hardwood has been glued to the back of each pipe to allow it to be screwed to the board without the screw piercing the pipe.  Also it gives a more secure fixing for the short brass tubes which are roughened slightly with emery cloth and glued in place with impact adhesive.  A piece of hardwood is also glued to the stopper ends to the two largest pipes for extra support. Note:-  PVA glue will not stick to any non-porous material!
