Crankshaft and Disengage Lever detail.

An approach to my friendly neighbour was successful in persuading him to weld the crankshaft.  This view also shows the lid catch, drive disengage lever and the most important part - the crank-handle.

My version of the drive disengage lever is shown here.  The upper support bracket has been removed so that the spring, next to the bearing block, can be seen.

 

In this view the support bracket has been replaced and the lever is shown in its rewind position.
